Closing

I opened this chapter with a quotation by Mason Cooley: “Reading gives us somewhere to go when we have to stay where we are” (as cited in Angelo, 2014). My students have to “stay where they are” and desperately need “somewhere to go.” Helping them find that vital, if temporary, mental escape through books is the most challenging and demanding job of my career, but also the most rewarding.
